 Fitness & The Benefits That It Provides For Body and Mind.

The world health organisation tells us that we need to be doing at least 30 minutes of intense exercise every single day in order to stay fit and well. Many people do not like to engage in any kind of exercise, but it is up to you to find an activity that you love to do like maybe dancing, going for a long walk and maybe even a swim. Exercising is not only good for the body physically but mentally as well and if you want to live a long healthy life then you need to start making changes in your life today.

The first thing that you have to do is to get yourself ready mentally for what lies ahead because even though it’s only going to be 30 minutes a day, it’s difficult finding the time to put a half an hour aside out of your busy day. We all lead very hectic lives in our attempts to climb the corporate ladder and to make more money. This desire for more money has a detrimental effect on our health both physically and mentally. If you cannot really figure out what exercise routine would be best for you then you should try Pilates in Camberwell that will provide you with a workout that not only burns fat but is incredibly fun to do as well.

The hope is that you already understand the benefits that fitness brings to your body and mind, but if you need a gentle reminder then the following are just some of the ways in which exercise benefits both body and mind.

  • It increases happiness levels – We all want to be happy every single day and many people suffer from mood changes, stress and anxiety. By exercising on a regular basis, you’re allowing your brain to produce serotonin which is incredibly good for reducing bouts of depression. Every time that you exercise, your body will produce endorphins and these are known to create incredibly positive feelings.
  • It’s great for weight loss – If you are currently carrying excess weight then exercise will allow you to burn off this fact quickly and easily. Obviously you need to reduce your calorie intake but if you take part in daily exercise then your body will be able to lose weight more efficiently.
  • Better energy levels – If you are finding that you are tired all the time then contrary to what you may think, doing exercise will actually help to increase your energy levels. This is a surprise to many people because they wrongly assumed that you are burning calories and so reducing your energy levels, but the opposite is actually true.

There is no doubt that regular exercise can help to reduce your risks of getting sick as you grow older. It also helps to create stronger muscles which you will need as your body ages and it will allow you to maintain your balance and so you won’t be falling down all the time.
